Twist armchair, a symbol of Made in Italy

Exclusive and original, the Twist armchair, by Design Castello Lagravinese, with its harmonious and enveloping shapes, combines a complex craftsmanship, which respects the simplicity of its outline while preserving the functionality typical of a contemporary design project.

Synonymous with elegance, the Twist armchair presents the signature twisted bands that envelop its circular metal profile in a sartorial way, with visible stitching on fabrics and leathers of the best quality. Twist represents good taste, comfort, and the unmistakable style of the most authentic "Made in Italy ".
The armchair, inspired by a creation from the world of haute couture, soon became the symbol par excellance of the Cantori brand, and an unequivocal expression of a furnishing philosophy which links experience to qualitative research, and puts aesthetics always in relation to function.

“For the project of the Twist armchairs and sofas collection, we started with the idea of creating an object with a strong impact and elegant image. The elegance given by a delicate and modern trait distinguishes our brand, giving our business the edge. This is particularly significant in this moment, since we are oriented more than ever towards foreign markets.” - says Castello Lagravinese, designers’ studio of the Twist collection. - The project arose casually, observing a shoe shop window in an airport lounge: knowing we could count on the thirty-year experience of Cantori company, and the skills of its craftsmen in metal-working, we ‘dressed’ the metal framework of the sofa and armchair with twisted nubuk stripes, creating a unique light and shade effect, very difficult to imitate. For the metal framework we suggested the use of precious and antique finishings, such as copper and natural brass, reintroduced in a luxurious and yet modern style”.

Luxury is at hand's reach, and handcrafted finishes and styles, together with new visual balances, give awareness to style and create unusual synergies; classic details blend with modern ones, detaching themselves from the shapes of the past.

The back of the armchair is composed by leather or eco-nubuk bands, twisted and hand-sewn, with visible stitching. The base of the seat is in pantographed wood, padded with dual-intensity rubber, with an upper layer in feathers, and upholstered in fabric, velvet, leather or customizable with any fabric supplied by the customer.

Twist, together with other Cantori products, is also available in an outdoor version, with finishes specially designed to resist the elements.

The Twist chair was chosen to complete the luxurious and elegant spaces of the Spanish tennis player's yacht.
